ABOUT US

ABOUT US

100 Guys Who Care launched in Toronto in May 2014. Our mission was simple: bring together 100-plus guys who care about local community causes and are committed to helping them out.

Four times a year, we met for an hour and jointly voted for a local charity. We each donated $100 to the selected charity making it a $10,000 or more total donation from the group.

After raising over $100,000 at our first 10 events, we merged with 100 Women Who Care in February 2017 to form 100 Who Care. We continue to raise $10k in an hour for local charities at our co-ed events.

Sometimes, we have a beer during or after the event. If that sounds good to you, you should join us.

CHARITIES

HOW WE WORK

At each event, members contribute $100 by cheque or credit card. Any member may nominate a local, registered charity for consideration.

The nominating members of three randomly selected charities make a brief, informal presentation about the organization to the group.

Each member votes (by ballot) for one of the three charities. The charity with the most votes is the recipient charity of the group donation. Members who did not vote for the selected organization agree to make their donation regardless.

We surprise the local charity with our group donation a week or two after our event. Members then receive a tax receipt directly from the charity.

Charities under consideration must serve the Greater Toronto Area and provide individual tax receipts directly to contributing members. A charity not selected at one event may be submitted again at a subsequent event.

Thanks to everyone who helped raise close to $180,000 for 18 great, local causes. It has been a lot of fun.

CARIBRU

We believe giving should be easy and a part of everyday activities. This is why we launched a charitable craft beer company named Caribru.

Caribru is a collaboration between 100 Who Care and the good people at Junction Craft Brewing. A portion of the sale of every pint, can and bottle of Caribru goes towards our group donation to local charities.
